More border disorder

As relations between Russia and Georgia go from bad to worse and the countries' border remains closed, Armenia is feeling the strain.

First, 45 unlucky passengers from Armenia to Russia have been stranded on the border since September 3rd, according to the Institute for War & Peace Reporting. Second, and with less tragicomedy, a truck is trying to cross into Georgia on the same border bound for the Metzamor nuclear plant with spare parts. And, "further exploitation of the plant will be endangered without the machine."

Armenian authorities are trying to negotiate for its safe passage.
