The events in Yerevan are raising eyebrows in Washington.
"Physical assaults, raids on political party offices and widespread arrests and detentions of opposition activists by the police do not contribute to creating an atmosphere conducive to political dialogue," Boucher said.
Will this make a difference? It would perhaps if there was the same geopolitical battle going on between Washington and Moscow over Armenia as there is over Georgia.
