Things in Lebanon are not back to normal yet and seems with possible failure in Doha talks, Tensions will increase. But what has it to do with Armenians?

An adviser to prime minister Siniora has told to Voice of Lebanon Radio Program: “The Armenians want “rights” in Lebanon.. while they have only crumbs in Armenia”
Obviously elements in the Government which is backed by United states are angry with the way, Armenian have sided in the political scene of Lebanon.

Tashngas(as they call it in Lebanon) are more in tune with the opposition which is formed by Shiite Hizbollah and Christian Free Patriotic movement by Michel Aoun.

A lebaneese blogger has called the comments made by Radwan al-Sayyid disgraceful. According to this weblog, this adviser to prime minister of lebanon has said: “The first Municipal elections in the East took place in Beirut in 1875. Now the Armenian who has nothing in Armenia wants a third of Beirut? How? I don’t understand anything of what is being said and I do not believe Hizballah wants to become a protector of ethnic and religious minorities.”

An Armenian blogger named Sako in Lebanon answered to this comments in his weblog
.

Update: Lebanese culture minister and acting foreign minister said he was surprised at the tendency of some to reduce the issue of Armenian voters and Armenian political representation. He stressed that “The Lebanese Armenians did not participate in an armed conflict with anyone or against anyone.”
