  1. ATP would be well advised to start Shikahogh.org …

  2. Or the coalition of Armenian Forests, ATP, WWF and local NGOs should together. Good idea but probably, on Friday, it might well be all over although everyone here that I’ve spoken to is willing to fight to the end on Shikahogh. If it goes, so will every other protected area in Armenia and no doubt we’ll see dachas, hotels, casinos, hunting lodges set up and in 10 years the whole country will pay the price.

  3. Syuniq is a wonderfully beautiful place. Next time I’m in Armenia, I’ll visit it.

  4. Breathtaking in fact, and with a rich history of its own as well as its own unique character. Along with Tavoush it’s my favorite region of Armenia.

  5. I am so angry about this… This is very very sad and I am afraid that they will do what they planned in any case. Just seeing the dumb face of their minister of so called Ministry of “Natural Protection” is enough to understand that this country’s future is in great danger.
